We make screw elements, kneading blocks, shafts and barrels for large-diameter petrochemical extruders, and we have already made them for Coperion ZSK 320, ZSK 350 and ZSK 380 machines and for the JSW CMP series. Petrochemical duty is not compounding at a larger scale. A polymer-production extruder runs continuously, at higher torque, on a screw diameter from 300 mm upward, and the wear layer in the bore is the decision that sets how long the line stays up. At this size a nitrided case is too thin for the duty, so the bore is normally a HIP powder-metallurgy liner, or a tungsten-carbide laser cladding applied directly to the barrel body in the linerless construction.
We are an independent parts manufacturer. We are not affiliated with, authorised by or an approved supplier to Coperion, JSW or any other OEM named on this page; brand and model names are used only to identify the machines a part fits.
Model designations differ between makers and mean little on their own, so we work from the drawing and the measured part. These are the large-diameter platforms we have supplied. Tell us the model and the position on the shaft and we will confirm compatibility before anything is machined.
| Machine | Screw diameter class | What we supply |
|---|---|---|
| Coperion ZSK 320 | 320 mm class | Conveying elements, kneading blocks, screw shafts, barrel sections and liners |
| Coperion ZSK 350 | 350 mm class | Conveying elements, kneading blocks, screw shafts, barrel sections and liners |
| Coperion ZSK 380 | 380 mm class | Conveying elements, kneading blocks, screw shafts, barrel sections and liners |
| JSW CMP series | Large-diameter continuous compounding | Elements, kneading blocks, barrels, screw shafts |
| Other polymer-production extruders | 300 – 486 mm | To drawing, or reverse-engineered from the worn part |
This is not a complete list. We quote large-diameter work from a drawing or a measured worn part whenever the model is not one we have seen before, which is how most of this work starts.

A 486 mm co-rotating twin-screw devolatilisation and pelletising unit went into service at a large petrochemical new-materials project in East China. The complete machine was assembled by a Chinese extruder builder — and the wear package inside it was made in China too: screw elements and shafts at our Sichuan factory, figure-8 barrel sections at our Nanjing factory. Equipment of this size had previously come only from German and Japanese suppliers.
Conveying elements and screw segments up to 486 mm outer diameter, machined and ground to the OEM profile. At this size each element is handled and measured individually rather than batch-produced.
Kneading blocks and mixing elements from 30° to 90° stagger, in nitrided or PM-HIP steel depending on the filler and catalyst load.
Shafts in 40CrNiMo, H13 or WR15E, splined or keyed, with the coupling end and bearing seats machined to the OEM interface. Long shafts are straightened and checked for runout before dispatch.
Figure-8 barrel sections with heavy flanges and multiple process ports, with HIP PM liners or linerless tungsten-carbide laser cladding. Worn barrels return to OEM tolerance by re-boring, honing and re-linering.
| Duty | Material |
|---|---|
| Barrel bore, abrasive and corrosive duty | HIP powder-metallurgy liner, or tungsten-carbide laser cladding in the linerless construction |
| Screw elements, general duty | Nitrided 38CrMoAlA, 950–1100 HV |
| Screw elements, high-wear duty | PM-HIP tool steel, 58–62 HRC |
| Screw shafts | 40CrNiMo, H13 or WR15E, quenched and tempered |
If the machine is one we have not seen, send the worn part and we will measure and reverse-engineer it.
Yes. These are the large-diameter polymer-production machines we have supplied, along with the JSW CMP series. Send the model, the position on the shaft and either a drawing or a photograph of the worn part with a rule in frame, and we will confirm compatibility and quote before anything is machined.
Yes. We make elements, kneading blocks, barrels and shafts for the JSW CMP series. JSW part numbering is its own system, so we work from dimensions rather than numbers: send the drawing or the measured part and we will match it.
486 mm outer diameter. Below that we cover everything from 7 mm upward, so the same workshop that makes a 58 mm element also makes a 380 mm one — with different fixturing, different heat treatment and different metrology.
For imported-machine spares such as ZSK 320, ZSK 350, ZSK 380 or the JSW CMP series, allow 30–45 days once material is available and drawings are confirmed. Large sections travel by sea rather than air, so add transit. For a planned shutdown, order the spare set one cycle ahead.
Usually, if the wear can be removed within the next oversize and the bore intersection is sound. We re-bore, hone and either fit new liners or restore the bore with a weld overlay, and verify on a CMM before shipment. A crack at the intersection is the one condition that cannot be repaired.
Both. Most large-diameter customers order a matched set for a planned overhaul, because a set machined together holds clearance better than pieces replaced one at a time. Single elements are supplied to the same tolerance.
Email the machine make and model, the position on the shaft, and a drawing or a photograph of the worn part with a rule in frame. We will come back with a quotation and a lead time.
